John Carey - A Tribute To Curtis Mayfield - album

Thank you very much for taking time out to listen to my new CD. A Tribute To Curtis Mayfield. This music was a inspiration to write, produce and perform with the expression of Mr. Curtis Mayfield. As a kid I grew up in Chicago, Illinois on the south side of town where Mr. Mayfield was widely known. My aunt and most of my uncles had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Mayfield. His music from the early 60’s into 1980’s was a staple for most people all over the world.

These 9 songs I have written is to bring you back to that feeling when you heard Mr. Mayfield’s music on the radio or jukebox. Every song on this album is a original song written by myself. I hope you enjoy it.
