Club Dance - Pop Dance - Wavs & MP3s. “CYBERFANTASY” is a Pop EP by Tanya Shanker whose sonic rhythms and catchy melodies brings back the nostalgia of 2000s dance music. The EP blurs the line between “fiction and fantasy” as mentioned in the song Mirage, a testament to how relationships have been permanently altered due to the emergence of the internet, making it increasingly difficult to differentiate between a person’s digital behaviour and their real personality.

Reminiscent of Britney and Christina, it depicts the struggles of online love in the modern age, the dopamine rush of doomscrolling and the struggle to make a name for oneself in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The EP features eminent artists from Bangalore, India including names like Richard Andrew Dudley, Yogesh Pradhan, and Jaime Dudley to name a few.

Brief Bio: Tanya Shanker is a 19 year old singer songwriter from Bangalore. Her primary niche is pop and pop rock and she has released two EPs namely, “Battlefield” and “What Lies Beneath” in 2020 and 2023 respectively.

Her videos have a combined total of more than 800k+ views with more than 86k subscribers on YouTube

“Cyberfantasy,” is a 2025 influenced pop track that grapples with the struggles of maintaining a relationship via the internet. The song laments about being forced to love their partner “through a screen” and this being “a casual tragedy of modern intimacy.” Blurring the line between ‘Fiction and Fantasy,’ it is eventually revealed the relationship itself is imaginary, existing in the mind of the singer, as a method to cope with loneliness.
